Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:14

Discipling the next generation of believers is a great privilege and we take this privilege very seriously.  So, here are some of the aspects of our Children's Ministry which you might find helpful to know:

  • Curriculum — The Children's Ministry curriculum is as follows:
    • Sunday's:
      • We use a curriculum that teaches an overview of the entire Bible about every seven years.
      • September to May:  We use AWANA curriculum. Signups begin in late August each year. Please visit our AWANA page for more information and forms for registration.
      • Summer Months:  We seek the Lord each year for that summer's curriculum.
  • Worship — In addition to the curriculum, the children currently enjoy corporate worship in the adult sanctuary.
  • Security and Safety — The security and safety of the children are always a critical concern for us. Therefore, we have taken many steps to ensure their safety. Some of the steps are as follows:
    • Every Children's Ministry servant has undergone a thorough national and local background check.
    • No person is ever alone in a room with a child, with the possible exception of the time the first child arrives or the last child leaves the classroom.
    • All classrooms have windows, and all curtains are open.
    • Children use a "children's only" restroom with adults waiting outside.
    • No men ever change diapers.
    • Our Children's Ministry Policy Manual is available to anyone upon request at any time.
  • Note for parents — In order to keep distractions to a minimum, we encourage children under the age of 10 be taken to their classroom according to their age or grade level. However, if you desire to sit with your children during the adult worship service, we simply ask that you please sit near the back of the sanctuary.  Thank you.
