What We Believe

"If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed."
1 Timothy 4:6

We believe...

the Bible to be the ONLY inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

We believe...

there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe...

in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His Virgin Birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His death on the cross to provide the forgiveness of sins through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe...

mankind can repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior for salvation and that this is the only way to come enter into a relationship with God.

We believe...

in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is given both the will and power to do of HIs good will. We further believe His power and gifts are all available to believers today.

We believe...

in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved, through changing their minds about their sins (repentance) and believing in Jesus, resulting in the resurrection of life, and those who are lost, through their freewill decision to not repent and believe in Jesus, resulting in everlasting separation from God.

We believe...

we are called to uphold the practices of the scriptures given to the church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is required for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ.
